Pavement Crack Filling & Sealing
Sealing cracks before water gets into the base and a North Dakota winter turns them into potholes.
Every open crack is a door. Water runs in, reaches the base, and then a North Dakota winter does the rest: it freezes, expands, and pries the pavement apart from the inside. What starts as a thin line becomes spalling, then a pothole, then a section that has to be rebuilt.
Crack filling and sealing closes that door cheaply. We rout cracks to a clean profile, then fill and seal them so moisture stays out and the damage stops spreading. Done on schedule, it is the single most cost-effective thing you can do to protect a pavement.

Stops water intrusion
Sealed cracks keep moisture out of the base, where most pavement failure begins.
Beats freeze-thaw
Closing cracks before winter stops the freeze cycle from prying them wider.
Cheapest insurance
A small maintenance cost that prevents far more expensive patching and rebuilds.
How We Do It
Rout the crack
Clean and rout cracks to a consistent profile so the sealant holds.
Blow it clean
Clear out dirt and debris so the fill bonds to bare asphalt.
Fill & seal
Apply sealant to lock out water and stop the crack from spreading.
Common Questions
When is the best time to fill cracks?
Before winter is ideal, so water cannot get in and freeze. That said, sealing cracks any time they appear is better than letting them run, and it pairs well with a sealcoat.
Will crack filling fix a crumbling area?
No. Crack filling protects sound pavement with isolated cracks. Once an area is alligatored or crumbling, the base has usually failed and it needs patching or replacement. We will tell you which you are looking at.
